The tennis program at LaSalle College High School awarded the Blake Barklage Award on May 10, 2023. The award recognizes a player who represents the following qualities that so many of us recognized in Blake: sportsmanship, collegiality, congeniality, warmth, and an unassuming manner.

Matt Porreca was selected to receive the award and will be attending and playing tennis at Gettysburg College. Matt was very moved to receive this special recognition. He commented that it was the most meaningful award he has received. This acknowledgment in memory of his tennis teammate and friend will always hold extra significance to Matt.

This award is also very meaningful to the Barklages since Blake played tennis during his entire tenure at LaSalle. This annual recognition will always hold a special place in their heart. Congratulations to Matt!
